Beginnings Collection

My adventure with antiques began in 1972. I was then 19 years old and his head full of ideas. Together with my cousin brother, in search of "treasures" penetrowaliśmy surrounding villages within a radius of 60 km around Bialystok. We fell prey to everything that you can resell at a profit. Gradually, however, the intrinsic charm of rubbish took precedence over commercialism. I began to see beauty in these things. With time, some of the items to the distress of our customers from all over the Polish, landed in our homes, becoming the beginning of the exceptional collection. My brother liked the most in the old srebrach, becoming an expert in a short time of trial, and all characters punc minted in precious gold. My specialty was old Tula samovars, those produced before the October Revolution in Tula, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Warsaw. Collection brother after all these years, unfortunately, fell prey to thieves. My samovars had more luck, and quickly became the leaven of the numbering of the collection.

Appetite for beautiful objects grew very quickly. In my house began to appear superior kerosene lamps, watches, clocks, porcelain, white arms, coins but old furniture. The latter often had to give up because of the limited measurement of my parents' apartment. Since then a lot of time spent in various basements, chlewkach, attics and garrets. Unfortunately, it came moments later, when I had to part with some things, turning them into furniture or a TV and refrigerator. Family life had its rights.

At the beginning of the eighties, ability to acquire new exhibits markedly decreased. Add to this the prevailing communism, a movement collector, as well as all the antiquarian market in Poland did not fill with optimism.
